This thesis explores the impact of current political events on the translator's neutrality when interpreting spontaneous speech. Through an analysis of translations of speeches by political figures during significant international crises, specific linguistic and pragmatic challenges faced by translators are identified. The findings reveal that the translators whose work was analyzed failed to maintain neutrality when conveying spontaneous speech, leading to distorted information. The study examines examples of incomplete translation, emphasis on certain aspects of speeches, and other deviations from neutrality caused by both external pressure and the translators' internal beliefs. The research employs the method of comparative analysis of original texts and their translations. Special attention is given to the strategy of literal translation, which proved to be the most effective for conveying emotional information and preserving the original meaning. This work will be useful for professional translators, students of translation studies, as well as researchers in the field of political discourse and intercultural communication.
