This study examines the attitudes of teachers towards the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, specifically within the “Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communications” program at the Higher School of Economics (HSE). Recognizing AI’s transformative potential in education, the research seeks to understand the current perceptions and future prospects of AI implementation in the teaching and learning environment. Through a mixed-methods approach, including semi-structured interviews and surveys, the study aims to gather insights from teachers regarding their views on AI, its potential benefits and challenges, and their readiness to incorporate AI tools into their teaching practices. By analyzing these insights, the study will provide valuable information about the attitudes of educators towards AI within the context of Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communications program of SOFL HSE. The findings of this research will contribute to the advancement of AI-enhanced educational practices and foster a more nuanced understanding of AI’s potential impact on the field of education. This research seeks to inform discussions on the integration of AI in education, particularly within the context of foreign language learning and intercultural communication.
