Psychoanalytic Perspective on the Film by Randall Wallace "We Were Soldiers"

This work is devoted to the study of the impact and consequences of military operations on society and on humans. The theoretical part provides an overview of psychoanalytic concepts that consider mental processes during war, defense mechanisms, internal mental conflicts, the role of collective psychology, the nature of war, as well as aspects related to it. The empirical part uses the Film by Randall Wallace's film "We were Soldiers" to show the impact of war on the psyche and behavior of people, both civilian and military, both before and during, as well as after military operations. In the work, the author attempts to determine the traumatic consequences, as well as to present the mental organization of the characters of the film before the events described.
