Every year, the transport manufacturing sector in Vietnam becomes more innovative and progresses technologically, thereby playing a significant role in driving the country's socioeconomic growth. This sector facilities government objectives in protecting national sovereignty and territorial security whilst also facilitating the growth of public transportation for citizens. Furthermore, the development of sustainable transport can assist in solving environmental problems. In this paper, the entire complex of transport engineering in Vietnam was considered, which includes industries such as motorcycle manufacturing, automotive production, aircraft manufacturing, railway engineering, and shipbuilding. This study examines the historical formation of Vietnam’s transport manufacturing sector and identifies the key prerequisites for the development of this industry; analyzes the current state of transport manufacturing in Vietnam and examines the influence of various factors on its development; identifies the importance of Vietnam's transport manufacturing sector for the country's economy and the global market; highlights the main areas of cooperation and Vietnam’s trade partners in the global market of transport products; determines the prospects for cooperation between Vietnam and Russia in the field of transport manufacturing; determines the factors influencing the further development of transport manufacturing in Vietnam.
