Faculty: Faculty of Economics

Educational Programme: Economics (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2024

The purpose of the work was to study the process of planning fuel costs in an energy company (using natural gas), analyze factors affecting costs, and develop recommendations for optimizing fuel expenses. The study addressed theoretical and methodological foundations of planning and optimization, examined the planning process at the enterprise, and analyzed state regulation in gas supply. Methods used included analysis of scientific literature and regulatory documents, analysis of the company's fuel costs, scenario analysis of natural gas transportation schemes, and statistical analysis of data on natural gas production and consumption. Theoretical significance lies in the collection, systematization, and generalization of scientific knowledge about planning and optimization. Practical significance includes developing recommendations for optimal fuel cost planning. The study's methodological basis included works of domestic specialists, regulatory legal acts, and methodological guidelines in gas supply, using corporate and other information. The work consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, references, and appendices. The introduction outlines the relevance, object, and subject of the study, and sets goals and objectives. The first chapter discusses theoretical foundations of planning and optimization. The second chapter examines the research object, provides a brief enterprise description, and describes planning processes. The third chapter details the fuel balance structure and gas supply specifics, principles of state regulation in gas supply, factors affecting costs, and opportunities for cost optimization. In conclusion, the work summarizes results, achievements of set goals and objectives, and conclusions based on the data obtained.
