The study of this topic will allow us to better understand the internal mechanisms of the creative process, the manifestations and influence of the syndrome of the replacement child in the art of specific personalities. The purpose of this final qualifying work is to consider the relationship between the consequences (manifestations) of the syndrome of a substitute child and art, as well as the analysis of the influence of mental processes on creativity. The paper examines which basic concepts of the syndrome currently exist in the theoretical plane, as well as the methods of psychoanalysis used to interpret and analyze works of art. Aspects of the work of famous artists with confirmed replacement child syndrome have been studied using a psychoanalytic approach. As a result of the research, a comparative analysis of the manifestations of the syndrome in selected artists was carried out, and conclusions were drawn regarding the creative process and its role in overcoming the identity crisis caused by the syndrome of a replacement child, about the therapeutic potential of inspiration and art in general.
