Optimizing Office Seating Arrangement

In the post-COVID-19 era contemporary IT-companies aim to return their employees, who got used to work online, to the office. The main reason to do it is the will to increase the number of in-person communications because they could increase the productivity and creativity of the employee. Thus, we have to address the issue how to arrange office seating in the way that it increase in-person communications. In this thesis we will create a framework solving this issue which will include optimization model and the algorithm which optimizes office seating arrangement. It was tested on the real-world data and used for optimizing office seating arrangement in the new office of an IT-company.
