The topic of this paper is "Linguodidactic Basis and Pedagogical Innovations of Teaching Southeast Asian Languages and Cultures in Russian Schools", which addressed the issue of the need to introduce the study of Southeast Asian languages in Russian schools. The aim of the work was to develop an educational program of additional education for students of 7-11 classes in Moscow schools. Within the framework of the set goal, the work considered a number of issues, such as the history of Southeast Asian studies in Russia, teaching Vietnamese as a foreign language, analyzing methodological materials on teaching a foreign language at school. The main problems are identified and the ways of solution are proposed.
