Exploring the evolution of fashion, body image and evolution of traditional costume in Vietnam provides insight into the country's historical, economic, and cultural dynamics. Vietnam's proximity to new fashion centers facilitates the direct influence of Eastern fashion trends, contributing to the rapid evolution of street fashion in cities like Ho Chi Minh City. Understanding women's fashion in Vietnam not only enhances cultural appreciation but also assists in the integration into Vietnamese society. The research aims to investigate the transformation of women's fashion and body image in South Vietnam from the 1960s to the present time, with specific tasks including analyzing predominant fashion trends, categorizing fashion development stages, and assessing the impact of political and economic factors on fashion and body perception. Various research methods, including content analysis, historical analysis, participant observation, and comparative analysis, are employed to explore the development of fashion, body image and society in South Vietnam
