Acupuncture in Vietnam: History of Development, Reflection in Sources, Modern Practice (Based on Field Research)

The study is a detailed description of the history of the development of acupuncture in Vietnam, includes an extensive review of the literature on the topic of Vietnamese acupuncture, created by Russian, Vietnamese and foreign authors, and also contains a comparison of acupuncture practice in Vietnam (based on course work materials 2022-2023) with this practice carried out by specialists in Russian cities. In the 21st century The study of acupuncture is very relevant, since currently society dictates a demand for environmentally friendly treatment methods. The purpose of the work is a detailed study of reflexology, its history, reflection in the literature; analysis of information collected from acupuncturists working in clinics in Russian cities. When conducting the study, methods were used such as content analysis of medical literature on acupuncture, translation and abstracting of secondary sources, studying the activities of a center specialized in traditional medicine in Ho Chi Minh City, visiting the Museum of Traditional Medicine of Vietnam (Bảo tàng Y học Cổ truyền Việt Nam) , interviewing (reflexotherapists, health workers) and questionnaires. As a result of the study, a conclusion was made about the level of development of acupuncture as a medical practice, the degree of interest in the method by medical specialists, and an analysis of the distinctive features of acupuncture carried out directly in Vietnam with practice in Russia was carried out.
