This thesis focuses on the specific features of coreferential designations of characters in Andrzej Sapkowski's "The Witcher" series in Russian. The aim of this research is to identify the characteristics of the use of coreferential designations of characters in the author's speech and dialogues. The object of this research is the coreferential designations of characters in the book series "The Witcher." The subject of the research is the peculiarities of their methods of nomination, semantic composition, and usage in the author's speech and dialogues. The study is based on the material that includes the first 7 books of the "The Witcher" series, translated by Yevgeny Pavlovich Wajsbrot. The theoretical significance of this work lies in the compilation of a classification that will complement the knowledge about coreference in fiction and texts of other genres. The practical significance lies in its use for training models for applied tasks, for example, in chatbots for a more natural and accurate understanding of the dialogue context.
