In modern educational technologies, there is a trend towards the use of game elements and gamification to enhance student motivation and engagement. This final qualification work presents an approach to the development of educational visual novels applicable for teaching various educational topics. As part of the research, a visual novel was developed to teach the basics of UX analytics. The study included an extensive literature review, the development of detailed requirements and design principles, and the creation and evaluation of a visual novel prototype. The research results encompass an analysis of user experience and feedback from participants, which facilitated the creation of a comprehensive guideline with recommendations for the development and evaluation of visual novels. This guideline can serve as a valuable tool for educators and developers seeking to integrate game elements into the educational process to improve learning outcomes and increase student motivation.
