Votive Offerings in the Sanctuaries of Asclepius

Graduation paper is devoted to the votive offerings at the temples of Asclepius. The study of this topic will allow us to understand the specificity of gifts in the religious sphere. The purpose of this research is to consider and analyze the offerings in the sanctuaries of Asclepius. The main task was to comprehensively analyze the votive offerings to Asclepius in his major temples and to highlight the specifics among the gifts to the gods in general, and in his temples, in particular. To achieve these goals, the author uses sources of various types – data of literary tradition, epigraphic evidence and archaeological materials, as well as works of art.
