In modern society, issues related to trauma and its impact on humans are attracting an increasing number of researchers. Literary works devoted to this topic not only help readers understand and comprehend the complex emotions of a person during a period of traumatic experience, but also offer new approaches to understanding behavioral patterns in extreme situations. This thesis examines narrative strategies in trauma storytelling using two contemporary novels as examples: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer and Station on the Way to Somewhere Better by Benjamin Wood. The study of narrative strategies in these works will reveal the methodology of interaction of the traumatic text with the reader, as well as the main ways of its construction. One of the key aspects of the research is to explore ways of constructing literary works that help readers delve into the depth of the emotional state of characters who have experienced traumatic events. The work examine narrative techniques and ways of constructing the world of trauma, which authors use to create an emotional connection between readers and characters and convey the experience of trauma.
