The research addresses the acute problem of homelessness, namely the problem of women's homelessness. Consideration of this particular group is conditioned by the special vulnerability of women due to multiple barriers. The focus of the study was the construction of identity. Identity construction was chosen in order to attempt to break the invisibility of female homelessness and to address the women themselves first and foremost. The respondents were homeless women participating in NPO “Nochlezhka”. The research through the qualitative methods of biographical interview and participant observation through the study of life experiences, interests, values, attitudes towards things, use of digital technologies and perceptions of self and others seeks to answer the question of how the identity of homeless women is constructed when participating in NPO? The paper consists of a theoretical review of the current state of the problem in the academic field, a description of the research methodology and a qualitative analysis of the empirical data.
