The strategic development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation is a national development goal until 2035. The insufficient level of healthcare development and its poor accessibility in remote areas is one of the key problems of the Russian Arctic. Issues of improving the quality of life in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation have recently been discussed at all levels of government. The development of the Arctic is one of the priorities for the state for the next decade. This is due to the fact that, firstly, it is an absolutely huge territory, which at the same time has a small population density, and secondly, this territory is unique in terms of the concentration of resources for the mining industry, for the oil and gas sector, and so on. Modernization of primary health care, equipping medical institutions with road and air transport, development of high-tech medical care, development of disease prevention measures, including infectious diseases, and implementation of a set of measures aimed at increasing citizens' commitment to a healthy lifestyle, including their motivation to switch to a healthy diet and reduce alcohol and tobacco consumption – all These are key areas for improving the healthcare system in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
