In the 2000s, Dmitry Gorchev became one of the most popular bloggers on the LiveJournal platform. His posts, which later formed the basis of his collections “Bastards”, “Beauty”, and “Abomination”, addressed the themes of relationships between men and women and self-determination. These themes would become central to his work. While his work has not been extensively studied in modern literary criticism, this paper aims to analyze the major aspects of Gorchev’s world as presented in the collection “Bastards” and explore possible strategies for constructing relationships between men and women within this context.
