In today's society, due to the rapid pace of scientific and technological advancement and digital transformation, music streaming services have become increasingly popular as a means of selling and consuming musical products. Under these circumstances, the role of music within society is undergoing a significant transformation – it has shifted from being primarily a cultural phenomenon to an economic one, where music functions as a commodity, the artist takes on the role of producer, and listeners act as consumers. This paper examines the interaction between young internet users and music streaming platforms, concluding that modern sociocultural practices differ markedly from those of previous generations. The reason for this shift lies in the emergence of technologies that enable the creation and sharing of collaborative music playlists, as well as the ability to subscribe to favorite artists and share musical preferences.
