ANNOTATION. Target: Create educational and methodological developments for students in grades 10-11, trying to add a variable or parameter to problems in probability theory and statistics. Tasks: 1. Study the theoretical foundations and methodological approaches in teaching statistics and probabilities. 2. Analyze the role of tasks with variables and parameters in the school system mathematics education. 3. Analyze the process of introducing the fundamentals of probability theory and statistics into modern school education in the Russian Federation. 4. Review existing textbooks and manuals on this topic. 5. Perform a brief analysis of normative literature. 6. Develop methodological material in the form of a course for the study of some topics in probability and statistics; a variable or parameter is introduced into many probability problems. Work results: Educational and methodological developments have been created that can help in the study of probability and statistics, while a variable or parameter has been introduced into many problems.
