Student: Berezhnoy Pavel

Educational Programme: Physics (Master)

Final Grade: 9

Year of Graduation: 2024

This work is focused on the study of a strongly correlated two-dimensional electronic system based on a ZnO/MgZnO heterostructure in the ultra-quantum limit. Measurements were conducted using only optical methods such as Raman light scattering and photoluminescence. The main results of the work are as follows: for the first time in history, a spin-roton mode was found at filling factor 1/3; spin stiffness was investigated over a wide range of filling factors from 0.3 to 1.2; a method for estimating correlation energy by measuring luminescence was discovered. The work aims to contribute to the understanding of the physics of strongly correlated systems and the quantum Hall effect, as well as exotic quasiparticles based on them.
