The master's thesis is devoted to a comparative legal analysis of the regulation of educational activities in Moscow Patriarchate religious educational organizations in the Russian Federation and some countries of the post-Soviet space. This study attempts to analyze the results of many years of interaction between the Church and state authorities in the Russian Federation, as a result of which the Russian Orthodox Church religious educational institutions, that have special civil legal capacity along with other religious organizations, also received, taking into account this factual circumstance, special legal personality in areas of legal relations related to educational activities. In addition, the work touches upon the problem of recognizing educational documents, academic titles and degrees of graduates of these educational institutions from the period preceding their receipt of state-recognized legal personality in the field of educational activities.
