Domestic violence is a common issue in developing countries. This study examines the relationship between household overcrowding and domestic violence by men in its various forms. Studies on the impact of overpopulation on domestic violence have not yet been conducted. However, it has been reported that the incidence of violence and aggression increases in crowded conditions. Firstly, a mathematical model of the interaction between husband and wife in the context of domestic violence was developed. Secondly, an analysis of domestic violence was carried out on over 134,000 respondents from 7 developing countries. A logistic regression was conducted, revealing a significant positive correlation between three types of violence - humiliation, fear, beating - and the factor of overpopulation. Additional associations between violence and different social groups were also identified. Therefore, the study shows that domestic violence is significantly influenced by the level of household overcrowding.
