Current Issues of Registration of Religious Organizations in the Russian Federation

The presented study examines in detail the formation and development of legislation on the registration of religious organizations from the period of Soviet power to the present day. The author studies the changes in the legislative framework governing the relationship between religious organizations and the state, as well as analyzes in detail the normative legal acts of the Russian Federation on the registration of religious organizations and modern law enforcement practice. As a result, the main types of violations during registration are identified and formulated, as well as a number of material and procedural contradictions. Based on the conducted research, the author of the work comes up with a legislative initiative to resolve the identified contradictions that arise during the registration of religious organizations.
