Analysis of Strategic Success Determinants in Strategic Growth M&A in Technology Sector

In today’s world the technology sector is one of the fastest growing in the world. That leads to a constant increase in the number of mergers and acquisitions in this sector. This work examines which factors influence the success of a transaction based on 136 transactions made in 2017-2020. The results of the study show that, in general, mergers and acquisitions may not be profitable for companies. The paper also analyzes various non-financial factors and their impact on the company's post-deal performance. The study pays special attention to the impact of the Covid epidemic on the effectiveness of the transaction in the long term.
