This paper examines the phenomenon of the emergence of digital archives, examines the causes and scenarios of the formation and implementation of personal digital archives as an act of creating a biographical myth of a person, memory of him and the mechanism of embedding his story in collective memory. The research raises questions about the capabilities and responsibilities of modern digital archivists who create other people's digital repositories. The analysis of the use of archives in cultural and research practices allowed us to develop a project of a digital archive of a certain personality and technical templates for its further implementation.
