The problem of refugee acculturation in the European Union is one of the most pressing issues today due to the large influx of migrants into the Union over the past decade. Forced migrants are both a valuable labor and demographic resource, as well as a source of many ills such as the increased level of crime and terrorism in the territory of the European Union. The aim of the master's thesis is to develop hypothetical proposals for the further development of acculturation policy in the EU. When writing, the following tasks were pursued: 1. identify the features and identify the distinctive features of the first, second and third waves of migrants in the European Union; 2. to study the legal framework defining the rights of migrants in the EU; 3. Identify the measures that the European Union uses to integrate refugees; 4. Identify the problems faced by migrant women in the integration process; 5. Highlight the ways to solve the problems of integration of migrant women used by the European Union and further directions for the development of acculturation policy. The object of the work is a set of social relations in the process of acculturation of refugees in the EU The hypothesis is that the measures taken by the EU in relation to the acculturation of refugees are not effective enough for successful integration and elimination of the consequences of migration crises. Qualitative comparative data analysis, case study, and deductive method were used as the research method. The hypothesis is the assumption that a more responsive EU policy towards the problems faced by refugees and migrants, aimed at ensuring national and gender equality, will contribute to creating a favorable social and economic environment for all residents of the European Union. Thanks to the work of migrants, the life of Europeans becomes more comfortable and easier. But at the same time, such a policy restricts the access of this category of the population to more important professions than service personnel, since diplomas of higher education from many non-European universities are considered invalid in the EU. The Union aims to close only the basic needs of refugees (housing, health, education), without taking into account that they (migrants) can contribute to the successful development of the EU in such areas as science, medicine, etc., where most migrants have very difficult access due to the above-mentioned circumstances.
