This paper examines the structure of out-of-school time of schoolchildren: socio-economic status, territory of residence and relationship with academic results. The relevance of this work is due to the changes that have occurred in the leisure organizations of children, where organized activities began to replace free time. In the course of the study, the WRC assessed the structure of after-school time of students in grades 4-11 and identified relationships with socioeconomic status, place of residence, and academic performance. The study used quantitative analysis methods based on survey data of 3654 pupils from Yaroslavl and Yaroslavl Oblast. The results showed that pupils from families with high socio-economic status have more organized extracurricular time and better academic performance, unlike children from families with low status. Significant differences in time structure were also found between urban and rural students, as well as by gender. The findings emphasize the need to take these factors into account in order to develop effective educational programs and policies in out-of-school time education
