The third consultation seminar on the topic "Care and Welfare in Post-Socialist Eurasia: Institutions, Discourses, Identities"
We invite you to participate in consulting seminars on the topic "Care and Welfare in Post-Socialist Eurasia: Institutions, Discourses, Identities", which will include speeches by leading foreign experts: Linda Cook, professor at Brown University, an employee of the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University and Academic Supervisor of our Laboratory, as well as speeches by Doctor Charlie Walker, PhD, associate professor at the University of Southampton.
The third consultation seminar will be held on April 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. (Moscow time) with the participation of associate professor Charlie Walker, and will be devoted to the discussion of the topic "Public attitudes towards vulnerable groups in Russia. A case of Alzheimer's disease".
The seminar will discuss the theoretical ideas of stigma, identity, power and vulnerability and focus on the results of a nationwide survey focused on the state of public awareness of Alzheimer's disease, and wider context of the social inclusion and exclusion of persons with cognitive diseases, particularly Alzheimer's and dementia.
The seminar will be held in a remote format.
