The International Laboratory for Social Integration Research invites the most active, proactive and interested in the implementation of research projects of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students of the HSE to become part of our team! We are pleased to announce the opening of a competition for the position of a Research Assistant! 

Requirements for candidates for the position of a Research Assistant: 

• Specialization: Sociology, Demography, Political Science, Public Administration, Psychology. 
• Knowing of statistical packages SPSS, R (10 points max.). 
• Fluency in written and spoken English. 

Applicants with publications in Russian or English (articles in science journals) will have an advantage.

It is possible to combine this work with studies in the specializations listed above.

The experience of working in research projects is welcome.

Working Conditions:

• Part-time job. 
• Free schedule (the number of tasks, the deadlines are discussed on regular meetings with ILSIR staff members). 

Only students who are NOT engaged in any project conducted by an international laboratory or a center for advanced research (including projects realized under mega grants, according to Russian Federation Government Decree № 220, as well as those included in thematic plan of fundamental science research as part of Government contract of NRU HSE for 2024) can apply for the job competition.

Responsibilities: 

• Preparing academic reviews on Russian and English related to the subject of the ILSIR project.
• Performing calculations by using statistical packages.
• Entering qualitative (interview transcripts) and quantitative data.
• Helping with the organization of surveys.
• Creating and conducting online surveys.
• Translating academic texts from Russian to English and from English to Russian.
• Editing of the ILSIR’s annual report in accordance with GOST.
