Meeting with the Chancellor of the National Research University Higher School of Economics

On April 28, Elena Iarskaia-Smirnova, Head of the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research, presented a report on the main areas of activity and prospects for the development of the laboratory at a meeting with the Chancellor of the National Research University Higher School of Economics Yaroslav Kuzminov, the Vice-Chancellor and Director of the Institute of Social Policy Lilia Ovcharova, the Vice-Chancellor and Director of the Institute of Applied Political Research Valeria Kasamara, attended the discussion. Participants discussed the main areas of research and key research and partnership projects of the ILSIR and other research institutions of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Meeting with the Chancellor of the National Research University Higher School of Economics

During the discussion, the participants emphasized the peculiarities of the ILSIR activity associated with various methods of studying social problems and social policy, aimed at active participation in public space. To implement such ambitious goals for the laboratory, it is important to establish close interaction in the internal academic environment with other departments of the Higher School of Economics, as well as the continuation and development of international cooperation. At the end of the discussion, Yaroslav Kuzminov proposed to develop the study of exclusion and inclusion in various aspects, not only in the traditionally understood sense of education and health but in a broader conceptual light.
