Professor Linda J. Cook has been a discussant at the Political Economy Workshop at the University of Bremen, which was held online on 11 January 2022.

In the workshop, a paper by Adrienn Győry, Kerem Gabriel Öktem, and Dorottya Szikra was discussed. The paper is titled "Comparing social policy reforms under democratic backsliding in Hungary, Poland, Russia, and Turkey". Prof. Cook has provided a detailed analysis of the critical moments of the paper and provided authors with recommendations on how to improve the argumentations, as well as pointed at important references that the article was lacking.
