ILSIR congratulates the participants of the Winter School of the Faculty of Social Sciences – 2023!
On February 12, 2023, the Winter School of the HSE Faculty of Social Sciences was completed, during which participants – potential applicants of a master’s programme in Sociology - presented the results of research projects on topics proposed by the programmes and affecting a variety of spheres of public life.
As part of the Master’s Programme "Sociology of Public Sphere and Digital Analytics", students worked on two projects, which, according to the results of the general vote, were selected as the best among all works!
The first place was taken by a project dedicated to the new wave of Russian emigration, in which participants, based on a comprehensive analysis (including tools with programming elements), identified patterns of self-organization of participants in Telegram chats of mutual assistance of "relocants".
The second place was awarded to a project aimed at studying the inclusivity of Russian museums. In the presented work of the participants, the index of museum inclusivity was calculated on the basis of content analysis of websites, as well as the inclusive potential of one of the Russian museums was assessed using ethnographic observation.
The participants of the Winter School noted the prospects and relevance of the selected research topics, and also agreed that the experience they gained in implementing projects would definitely be useful to them in the further development of professional skills in the research field.
