Francesca Chiarvesio successfully defended her dissertation on the topic: "Anti-corruption in the discourses of civil society actors in Russia".
On April 17, 2023, the thesis of Francesca Chiarvesio, submitted for the degree of Candidate of Sociological Sciences, was defended. Francesca's Academic Supervisor is PhD in Cultural Studies Lili Di Puppo.
Based on the results of the research conducted in PhD thesis Francesca Chiarvesio identified academic discourses on combating corruption in Russia, identified critical literature on anti-corruption necessary for developing a strategy for studying the articulation of the local fight against corruption, studied how the main signifiers of international discourse are articulated by local actors of civil society and how this leads to the emergence of various concepts of anti-corruption. The articulations of anti-corruption were also grouped by relevance to key values.
