NGOs and Pro Bono Volunteers: Interaction Formats
On October 18, 2023, Konstantin Obukhov and Darya Moiseeva participated in the "Research for NGOs" conference with a presentation based on their research on volunteers and regional NGOs, titled "NGOs and Pro Bono Volunteers: Interaction Formats".
The conference focused on organizing research work for nonprofit organizations.
In their presentation, Daria Moiseeva, Senior Researcher at the Laboratory for Economic and Sociological Research, and Director of the Center for Practices and Project Activities, and Konstantin Obukhov, Senior Researcher at our Laboratory, outlined the main ways of organizing pro bono assistance by professionals, methods of interaction between regional NGOs and volunteers, potential resources, and directions for expanding the collaboration between NGOs and professionals in jointly addressing social issues. Daria presented options for cooperation between NGOs and the HSE Faculty of Social Sciences to attract students to conduct research.
The conference featured examples of research projects for the nonprofit sector, the primary resources of research centers, and organizations involved in social research. It also highlighted the main challenges in conducting research for NGOs and ways to address them.
As a result of the event, several proposals for collaboration between NGOs and our Laboratory were made, which may develop into joint research projects.
NGOs are ready to organize practical training for students, so if you are interested in such an internship option, contact the Center for Practice and Project Activities of the HSE Faculty of Social Sciences by e-mail: cfiapa@hse.ru.
