Victoria Antonova and Arseniy Buchatsky spoke at the Samara University conference on sociology and social work with international participation

The online report "Precarization of labour of people with disabilities as a challenge to the modern Russian labour market, the field of applied research and the direction of social work" was presented by the staff of the ML ISI in the section "Sociological research as a tool for solving social problems". The report focused on a thorough analysis of the precarization of labour of people with disabilities and social work with this phenomenon.

During the presentation, the authors shared recent data from the projects of the NCMU "Center for Interdisciplinary Research of Human Potential" on the position of HR managers on issues of inclusive employment of socially vulnerable groups. They proposed an analytical framework for a multidimensional study of the phenomenon of precarization of labour of people with disabilities, and also considered groups of methodological approaches, the categories used and possible directions of targeted social policies based on the results of applying the proposed research program.

The presentation set off a robust discussion among colleagues in the field of sociology of labor. Specifically, colleagues from MGIMO university addressed how to define the parameters of the phenomenon being studied, while St. Petersburg State University colleagues talked about the potential for researching online job offers for individuals with disabilities, including the language utilized in advertisements, as well as the ease with which job seekers with disabilities can enter the workforce, and the function of online platforms in resolving issues within the disability community.

In addition to expressing interest in learning more about the initiatives and activities of the SIR IL and NCMU, the conference organizers and attendees from Samara University's sociology department also voiced enthusiasm for potential research collaborations.
