Pushing the boundaries of the world: a new experience through cinematography
Today, two lectures on the ability of cinema to push the boundaries of our understanding of the world were given by Vitaly Kurennoy, professor and head of the Institute for Cultural Research at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

Paradoxes of inclusion and inspiration from overcoming them
The field stage of the School began, it took place at the Voronovo Training Center of the National Research University Higher School of Economics and lasted five days from November 16 to 20.

Film journeys through time, space and cultural boundaries
The participants of the School plunged into the world of documentary cinema under the guidance of the head of the Department of Visual Anthropology of the State Museum of Gulag History, Olesya Khoroshikh.

Great values of representatives of small groups
The day was opened by a lecture by Oksana Moroz, Candidate of Cultural Studies and associate professor of the HSE Institute of Media, on the topic of targeted universalism in film narratives.

Looking and seeing are not the same thing
A very busy penultimate day of School included speeches and discussions on a variety of topics: from representations of deafness in movies to fantasy in children's games.

Final shots
On the final day of the Autumn School 2023, a long-awaited presentation and active discussion of the participants’ projects by invited specialists took place.
