We are delighted to announce 25 scholarships for students from Germany who wish to enroll in HSE Moscow’s Summer University and HSE-St. Petersburg’s Summer School this year, as part of the DAAD programme Go East.

Summer University participants acquired not only new and valuable knowledge in various academic subjects taught by some of HSE’s best instructors, but they also learned to live in an international environment, communicate with representatives of diverse cultures and understand various traditions.
The Summer University at the Higher School of Economics, which brought 42 students from 11 countries together for six weeks, has ended. Students of all ages who studied at the university spoke about their impressions of the HSE, the unexpected knowledge they gained, and about continuing education in general.
From July 1 – 25, 2014, eleven participants from Korea, Russia, and the USA, studied on the Doing Business in Russia course at the HSE Summer University.
Students from Afghanistan, Brazil, China, Denmark, India, Korea, Norway, Pakistan, Russia, Turkey, and the U.S. had the opportunity to attend 12 courses taught by HSE instructors in four subject blocks: Political Science and International Relations, Economics, Society and History, and Culture.
From July 7−18, 2014, a seminar called ‘Russia and Global Food Security’ took place as part of the HSE Summer University.
Over the course of six weeks, students from 12 countries, including South Korea, China, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, the U.S., Norway and others, will attend lectures, participate in seminars and master classes, and study Russian under the supervision of leading HSE instructors.
