Students of the master's program "Socio-economic and Political Development of Modern Asia" took part in the Kazan International Congress of Eurasian Integration - 2021
Students of the master's program "Socio-economic and Political Development of Modern Asia" Aysylu Garaeva, Ekaterina Demidchenko and Polina Onikienko took part in the Kazan International Congress of Eurasian Integration - 2021 (hereinafter – the Congress), which was held in Kazan on June 10-11
The Congress was aimed at the formation of scientific platforms of Eurasian integration, the creation of a permanent expert and analytical platform, combining the efforts of government, science and economy, public organizations in the promotion of Eurasian integration processes, the development of recommendations to optimize integration processes, institutionalization of a common socio-humanitarian and cultural space in Eurasia. The Congress was devoted to methodological foundations and conceptual scenarios of Eurasian integration, parliamentary support of Eurasian integration processes, investment, financial, infrastructural, socio-cultural issues within the framework of building a Greater Eurasia.
Aisylu Garaeva participated in the section "Innovative and Territorial-Sectoral Trends of Eurasian Integration" with a paper "Challenges and Prospects of the Entertainment Industry: The Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan".
Ekaterina Demidchenko presented a report on "India-China Competition in South Asia in the Context of Eurasian Integration" as part of the section "Methodological foundations and conceptual scenarios for Eurasian integration".
Polina Onikienko participated in the round table "COVID-19: Impact of global epidemiological infectious diseases on the dynamics of economic development and integration of Eurasian states" with a presentation on "Tourism Cooperation of the Russian Federation with the States of North-East Asia in the Far East: Potential and Crisis of the Industry in the Pandemic Covid-19".
The texts of the reports will be published in the Proceedings of the Congress (included in the RSCI). Reports in the form of articles, on the recommendation of the Organizing Committee of the Congress, will be published in the Eurasian international scientific and analytical journal "Problems of Modern Economics" and the journal "Bulletin of Economics, Law and Sociology" (included in the list of VAK RF) and other printed editions.
During the Congress the students have had a chance to communicate with the President of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid K. Mukhametshin, Director of the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of RAS, Robert I. Nigmatulin and Rector of the Institute of Culture of Peace, Engel R. Tagirov.
Meetings of the Congress were held in several venues: in the Kazan City Hall (opening of the Congress, plenary session), in the Institute of International Relations of Kazan Federal University (sections and "round tables"), in the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan (final plenary session, summing up the Congress and adoption of resolution).
The Congress was held under the auspices of the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, the President and the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Congress was included into the Plan of participation of the State Duma delegations in international, all-Russian and inter-regional social-political and economic forums in 2021, dedicated to the year of science and technologies.
The responsible organizers of the Congress are: Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Economic Society of the Republic of Tatarstan, Eurasian international scientific and analytical journal "Problems of Modern Economy".
Representatives of St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, the Free Economic Society of Russia (FES), the EAEU Institute, the Gromyko Foreign Policy Studies Association, and other academic and research organizations participated in the organization of the Congress. The Congress resulted in the adoption of a resolution on the Congress of the Russian State Economic University, the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, the Free Economic Society of Russia (FES), the Eurasian Economic Union Institute, the Gromyko Foreign Policy Research Association, the Academy of Humanities of Russia, the Institute for Culture of Peace (UNESCO) and other scientific and research organizations.
At the end of the Congress, a resolution was adopted and a number of practical measures for deepening and expanding integration processes were formed.
