Asian and African Horizons: Interdependence and Competition in the New World Order

On April 26, a conference for young Orientalists and Africanists will be held on the basis of the educational program of the National Research University Higher School of Economics Socio-Economic and Political Development of Modern Asia". Speakers will be able to present their researches in several areas - social and economic development in the countries of modern Asia, features of the business environment and economic and technological sovereignty in Asian and African countries.

Dear colleagues, students and researchers,

 

We are pleased to announce a conference for young orientalists and Africanists entitled "Asian and African Horizons: Interdependence and Competition in the New World Order".

The event is organised by the Master's programme "Socio-Economic and Political Development of Modern Asia", Faculty of World Economy and World Politics of the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow.

 

The conference will be held on 26 April 2024 in a format that allows for both face-to-face and remote participation. Venue: Faculty of World Economy and World Politics, 29, Malaya Ordynka Street.

 

The conference will include the following blocks:

- Social and economic development in the countries of modern Asia and Africa;

- Economic and technological sovereignty in the countries of Asia and Africa: challenges and prospects;

- Peculiarities of business environment in countries with high-context culture.

 

The working languages of the conference are Russian and English. The duration of each paper is 15 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for questions and discussion.

 

To participate in the conference, you must apply by 12 April 2024, 23:59 Moscow time. Applications are accepted by email to gorizontiAsiaAfrica2024@yandex.ru

In the application form it is necessary to specify:

- full name

- place of study and course (or place of work)

- contact details (phone or mail)

- topic of the report and brief abstracts (3-5 thousand characters).

 

All participants of the conference will be awarded with certificates of participation.
