Excursion for Masters and Bachelors of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of the HSE to the Experimental Biotechnological Facility of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences

April 25, 2022, an excursion for masters and bachelors of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of the National Research University Higher School of Economics took place to the Experimental Biotechnological Facility of M.M. Shemyakin and Yu.A. Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences

April 25, 2022, students Barchelor's programme in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology and Master's programs in Bioeconomics of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of the National Research University Higher School of Economics got an excursion to the Experimental Biotechnological Facility of M.M. Shemyakin and Yu.A. Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences. As part of the tour, students got acquainted with the history of the creation of biotechnological production facility, its structure, the main stages of the biotechnological process, the main areas of work, as well as examples of successful projects. As the second part of the tour, the students were guided through the main premises and laboratories and got acquainted with the equipment. In particular, they were shown the Fermentation Department of this facility, as well as the Separation and Purification Sections. At the end of the tour, students were able to ask all their questions.
