Transfer of Students and Reinstatement Rules
The transfer of students from other academic institutions, including foreign academic institutions or from other degree programmes to the MP “Cognitive Sciences and Technology: From Neuron to Cognition” is carried out in accordance with the Guidelines for transfer of students of Bachelor’s/Specialist/Master’s programmes at National Research University Higher School of Economics, and Bachelor’s/Specialist/Master’s students from other academic institutions to National Research University Higher School of Economics (hereinafter, Guidelines), approved by the HSE University Academic Council.
Students are transferred to the MP “Cognitive Sciences and Technologies: From Neuron to Cognition” in December and June of the current academic year.

Reinstatement rules
The student, who is reinstating after the leave of absence, is admitted to studies the day following the date the order on reinstatement is issued.
Students returning from an exceptional leave of absence are readmitted to studies on the day following the date indicated in the directive on granting the said leave.
Students returning from an exceptional leave of absence early are readmitted to studies on the date indicated in the medical certificate, if the exceptional leave was granted for medical reasons or on the date of submission of a readmission request to the study office, if the leave was granted on exceptional grounds.
Students dismissed by HSE or through bilateral termination of an agreement for paid educational services may be reinstated within 2 years from dismissal by the vice rector responsible for these matters as per HSE allocation of duties (hereafter, the Coordinating Vice Rector), if there are vacant places available; if not - only on a fee-paying basis (hereafter, fee-paying places).
Students dismissed from HSE on their own initiative may be reinstated by the Coordinating Vice Rector within 5 years from their dismissal to the same places (free or fee-paying) on which they were studying before dismissal.
