We invite our students to join the international conference and spring school "Life in the era of genome, big data and AI: ethical, legal and other societal issues"

The Conference brings together key sciences of the 21 century affecting humans, including: Genetics, Big data, Medicine, Law, Ethics, and Education. The focus is on exploring the impact of scientific development on people and ways to minimise harm and maximise benefits.

Join us at VII International school for young scientists 'Active and passive methods of brain research'!

The school will be held on May 21-25, 2020. We invite MSc and PhD students from Russian universities and from abroad to participate in our school. FENS and IBRO-PERC provide 4 stipends for master and/or PhD students from abroad interested in attending this course.

Abrar Riaz has come to Moscow from Pakistan to study in the Cognitive Sciences and Technologies: from Neuron to Cognition Master’s programme at HSE University. He was accepted to the programme through Russia’s Open Doors Scholarship Project. Abrar spoke with the HSE News Service about why he chose HSE University and what it was like to participate in the competition.

Two HSE Projects Win ‘Mega-Grant’ Competition

A ‘Mega-Grant’ Competition for ground-breaking research projects funded by the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education was held for the seventh time, and this year’s competition winners included two projects that will be based at HSE University campuses. One research group will study dynamic systems at HSE – Nizhny Novgorod, and a new social neurobiology laboratory will begin work at HSE University in Moscow.

The HSE will host the first seminar on neuroeconomics, organized jointly with École normale supérieure (Paris). Neuroeconomics studies the decision-making process and uses economic approaches to study the brain and achieve neuroscience to adjust economic decision-making models.
