One of the key advantages of this programme is the combination of fundamental theoretical training with education in methods of sociological research at an advanced level. Most of the programme courses contain a theoretical core and involve training to apply these theoretical concepts to the analysis of different sociological cases and problems (from societal evolution and explanation models to conceptualization of the problems of ideology, power, social policy, gender etc.) The programme is based on courses developed by researcher lecturers who are experts both from a theoretical perspective and in terms of methods of research and practical application.
