Open Day at Comparative Social Research
On December 23, an Open Day was held for the master's program “Comparative Social Research” of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Higher School of Economics. During the event, participants had the opportunity to get to know the program better. In particular, applicants were told about the details of the admission process and the features of studying. In addition, part of the meeting was devoted to the discussion of the advantages of the specialty and the trajectories of building a career path.
Consultation for Applicants
On January 14, 2021, a special consultation was held for foreign undergraduate applicants special guests from HSE master's programs of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
HSE’s New Combined Master’s-PhD Track
HSE University’s new combined Master’s-PHD track programme received 212 applications from first-year master’s students this year. Of these, 45 students were admitted to the track to study at a combined total of 17 doctoral schools at HSE, included the student of the Comparative Social Research programme. The combined Master's-PhD track, which was launched just this year, provides a new form of support for students who study in state-funded slots and intend to pursue careers in academia.
‘I Am Really Thankful for This Opportunity to Expand My Knowledge’
Friederike Augustin is a Master’s student in Comparative Social Research double degree programme with Free University of Berlin. After reading European Studies for her Bachelor’s she enrolled in an Eastern European Studies programme to have the opportunity to spend some time in Russia.
