Initiation Ceremony of the CSR First-Year Students
The Comparative Social Research programme has a tradition of welcoming new students of the programme at an informal meeting. This year, teachers and second-year students organised a lot of activities for the newcomers.
In the beginning of the initiation party, the first-year students took a part in a fun quest. Playing a variety of mini-games, students not only tested their speed, dexterity and team spirit, but also laid out many useful routes in the building where they will be studying. The winners were awarded with some nice HSE’s gifts form Inglehart’s laboratory.
After the playful active time, it was a ceremonial part with an oath of sociology and a special gift from the programme’s academic supervisor, who wished every new student to enjoy their time in HSE and let CSR stay the link for our community.
In the end of the evening, it was a tea party with a lot of snacks which students prepared by themselves. The best home made treat was awarded by another memorable and useful gift. While enjoying the food and chatting, the students also played some games altogether, and what a better game to bring them closer than UNO?
It was a warm and fun time to play, chat and know each other better. Such a perfect beginning of a new academic year
