On January 16, our student has participated in Гайдаровский форум (Gaidar Forum) - an annual event that discusses major trends in social-and-economic and political development.
This year the Forum was devoted to the topic "Russia and the World: Values and Vurtues".

On Wednesday, December 6th, the students of the Programme got a chance to listen to a lecture by the prof of Leipzig University, Germany. The lecture was devoted to theme 'What is Cultural Sociology? How to apply it to Social Research'

This special occasion celebrates Ron’s career and tremendous contributions to the social sciences and to center and department at the University of Michigan. The distinguished speakers include: Amaney Jamal (Edwards S. Sanford Professor of Politics and Director, Bobst Center for Peace and Justice at Princeton University); Alejandro Moreno (Professor of Political Science at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and the Director of public opinion polling at Reforma); and Roberto Stefan Foa (Lecturer in Political Science, School of Social and Political Sciences, The University of Melbourne).

We are pleased to announce that the 6th LCSR International Workshop “Trust, Social Capital and Values in a Comparative Perspective” started on Monday, 18 April at the HSE, Moscow. The Seminar is organized within the XVII April International Academic Conference at the HSE.

On January 31st – February 3rd 2016, the Winter School of the Faculty of Social Sciences was held at the ‘Voronovo’ Learning Centre, HSE. During the event, potential master’s students took part in master classes, business cases and meetings with students and graduates of the faculty’s educational programmes.
