Final State Certification (FSC) is a mandatory part of studies under a degree programme and is organized for all students in their graduation year.
Step by step guidelines for Graduation Thesis preparation for the 2nd year students of Master's Programme "Economics, Politics and Business in Asia" 2022-2023
Dear students!
From October 15 to November 10, the campaign for choosing the topic of the Graduation Thesis starts. In the Thesis Topics section, you’ll find the list of the teachers recommended by the programme as research advisors, as well as a list of suggested topics.
* A student has the right either to choose any of the listed topics or propose an alternative topic together with the research advisor. After the application has been approved by the research advisor, it is submitted for approval by the Academic Council of the programme.
** Before choosing a research advisor, please review HSE criteria for supervision of a Graduation Thesis.
Please note that the selection or a change of the GT topic takes place exclusively on the LMS platform.

No later than November 10, 2022
The students should submit the Graduation Thesis (GT) topic into LMS

No later than November 26, 2022
The Academic Council should approve the list of GT topics and supervisors. Some of the topics may be declined by the Academic Council, if they are not corresponded to the field of research, the level of complexity etc.

No later than February 15, 2023
The students who didn't choose a GT topic have an academic failure. Meanwhile they have a chance to choose a topic in additional period – from January 10 till February 15. The academic failure is eliminated when the student selects the new topic on time and the Academic Council approves it.

No later than April 3, 2023
Application for changing the topic of GT, approved by the Supervisor and for replacing the Supervisor, approved by both Supervisors, should be submitted to the Academic Supervisor and accepted by the Programme office no later than 03.04.2023. The Academic Supervisor, together with the Academic Council, approves the changed topics of GT, as well as the replacement of Scientific Supervisors no later than 11.04.2023

The students must upload into LMS a .doc, .docx or .pdf file of GT using their personal account no later than 23:00, May 11
* Students who do not meet the deadline for uploading a Graduation Thesis shall be dismissed from the University for failure to complete the FSC
