Step by step guidelines for Thesis preparation for the 1st year students of Master's Programme "Economics, Politics and Business in Asia" 2021-2022
Dear students!
From October 8 to November 5, the campaign for choosing the topic of the Thesis starts. In the Thesis section, you’ll find a list of professors recommended by the programme as research advisors as well as a list of suggested topics.
* Student has the right either to choose any of the listed topics or propose an alternative topic together with the research advisor. After the application has been approved by the research advisor, it is submitted for approval by the Academic Council of the programme.
**If you plan to choose among not-listed research advisors, please review HSE criteria for supervision of a Thesis and a Graduation Thesis.
Please note that the selection or a change of the Thesis topic takes place exclusively on the LMS platform.

No later than November 5, 2021
The student have to submit the Thesis topic into LMS

No later than November 26, 2021
The Academic Council has to approve the list of Thesis topics and supervisors. Some of them may be declined by the Academic Council if they are not corresponded to the field of research, the level of complexity etc.

No later than February 15, 2022
The students who didn't choose a Thesis topic have an academic failure. Meanwhile they have a chance to choose a topic in additional period – from January 10 till February 15. The academic failure is eliminated when the student selects the new topic on time and the Academic Council approves it.

No later than March 4, 2022
Application for changing the Thesis topic, approved by the Supervisor and for replacing the Supervisor, approved by both Supervisors, are submitted to the Academic Supervisor and accepted by the Programme office from 07.02.2022 to 25.02.2022. The Academic Supervisor, together with the Academic Council, approves the changed Thesis topics, as well as the replacement of Scientific Supervisors no later than 04.03.2022

The student must upload into LMS a .doc, .docx or .pdf file of Thesis using their personal account no later than 23:59, April 28
