“Financial Analyst” Meets New Freshmen!

On the 1st of September an organizational meeting was held for first-year students of the master's program “Financial Analyst”. The content included the presentation of the program and features of the educational process, Q&A session, discussion and even a coffee break. Students attended the event in person and online: everyone had the opportunity to briefly talk about themselves and their expectations from studying at the program.

Director of the Banking Institute and academic supervisor of the program Vasily Solodkov congratulated the freshmen on the beginning of an important stage in their lives, and also presented the program and the main features of academic and extracurricular activities. Program manager Ulyana Odintsova commented on the main stages of introduction to the educational process and shared useful information about the necessary tools for a first-year student. After the official part, students asked questions to the academic supervisor, many also shared their experience of previous studies in Russia and EU countries.

I studied in Edinburgh, I chose this program because the curriculum and the content of the disciplines fully correspond to my interests and needs. In addition, I would also like to develop as a scientific adviser, so the master's degree is a very important step for me.

Since I am half Russian, half French, who has lived in France almost all my life, it was interesting for me to study in Russia. I chose “Financial Analyst”, first of all, because of the affiliation with the CFA Institute. For me this is an unambiguous sign of the high quality of the program.

The meeting ended with a lively conversation: the students got acquainted with each other, communicating on general topics over a cup of hot tea. Someone used this time for personal communication with the academic supervisor:

I really enjoyed the meeting: I got answers to all my questions and questions that I hadn't even thought about before. Vasily Mikhailovich explains very clearly, it's easy to talk to him - you can ask any question and you will definitely get an answer to it.

The team of the Banking Institute once again congratulates the first-year students on the beginning of the academic year and wishes them great luck in their upcoming studies!
