HSE University is the top-ranking Russian university in four THE World University Rankings by Subject 2020/21. In addition, HSE has placed in 8 out of 11 subject categories, thereby confirming its status as a multidisciplinary university.

On the 16^th of March the HSE Rector to start online education made the decision to move all lectures and seminars online. This measure was taken because of the spread of coronavirus. Due to the same reason the largest universities in Russia and all over the world had to pull their favorite trick – to transfer to online education immediately. So the longstanding discussions about pros and cons of online education have been delayed. The Academic supervisor of ICEF Bachelor’s programme, Oleg Zamkov, told us about the current organization of the learning process, who can help when something goes wrong, and which resources will be necessary for online examinations.

In 2019, after their first year in ICEF Master’s Programme, three students, Anastasia Melnik, Arseny Turyshev and Nikita Tsyrlin, went to Rome-based LUISS through a double degree programme. Now that they have completed the first term at LUISS, we’ve asked them to share their impressions. This year of ICEF’s performance was marked by moving to a new building in Pokrovsky Boulevard and launching of new courses in IT. We talked to Maxim Nikitin, Academic Director of ICEF Master's Programme in Financial Economics, to find out what sets the programme apart from competition, what helps students land jobs in London, who ICEF faculty partners on the employment market, and where lies the secret of ICEF graduates’ mathematical power.

HSE University is now represented in all four fields of the Top-100 of Business Master's ranking, which was published for the third time by the international agency QS.

Andrea Marchesini, from Cortona, Italy, is currently pursuing a double degree programme in Economics and Finance offered by LUISS University in Rome and International College of Economics and Finance of HSE University. He has recently completed his year of studies in Moscow and has shared with HSE News Service his impressions of the programme and the city.

In 2019 6 ICEF graduates have already entered PhD programmes of world’s leading universities.
